Lebanon flag

Lebanon is one of the countries would love to visit one day.

I can’t explain why, but I have a huge desire to go there.

This small painting is tribute to Lebanon flag.

It was designed by Henry Pharoun (very interesting character, please check him if you have time)

Red symbolizes martyrdom and Lebanon peoples’ sacrifice in the struggle for independence

White represents peace, purity and the Lebanese snow-capped mountain peaks

The tree on the flag is Lebanon Cedar (Cedrus libani) and it is the symbol of Lebanon for ages

(mentioned many times in the Bible – “The righteous flourish like the palm tree, and grow like a cedar in Lebanon” (Psalms 92:12))

It represents immortality, tolerance, strength and prosperity.
